MILLENNICON® returns for its 12th year of counting down to the coming Millennium. Along with our reputably fine programing of science fiction, space and science subjects we've added a few special events to make this MILLENNICON®
Heated indoor pool, Garden atrium, Fitness center, Poolside lounge, Game room Restaurant (casual dining), Breakfast, lunch and dinner, Free Parking, Business center.
There is a large, full service restaurant adjacent to the hotel with additional restaurants, fast food, and shopping within a convenient 5 minute drive from the hotel. All convention functions will be located adjacent to and in the atrium.
The hotel does not permit the posting of signs. Sign posting boards and an information table will be provided for your use. Animals are limited to 25 pounds or less and must be leashed and controlled at all times. If pets are left in the room, they must be in cages. Contact the hotel for airport shuttle service.

To be eligible you must be registered with the hotel as a MILLENNICON® attendee, be 18 years or older and the room must be in your name. Deadline for contest eligibility will be March 15 1998. We'll draw the name(s), from this list (number of winners will be based on our room count) Saturday night. The winner(s) will be reimbursed the cost of one room night. Enjoy all the evening activities and parties in comfort by making it a get-away weekend at the Blue Ash.

MILLENNICON® welcomes the Hugo award winning author and Editor Mike Resnick as our 1998 Guest of Honor. He is the author of over 3 dozen SF novels, 105 short stories, the Editor of numerous anthologies and collections, writes 2 columns and is an experienced world traveler.
He has been nominated for 16 Hugos and 8 Nebulas. He is the winner of 3 Hugos for Kirinyaga; The Manamouki and Seven Views of Olduvai Gorge. He received the Nebula Award for Seven Views of Olduvai Gorge. Most recently, he was nominated for a Hugo in 1997 for his story, The Land of Nod, In 1996 for his acclaimed work, When The Old Gods Die, in 1994 for Barnaby in Exile and for Mwalimu in the Squared Circle.

Dr. Bill Breuer is back by poplar demand. Dr. Breuer is a noted space historian, humorist and author. His multi media presentations have chronicled the history of space exploration and his fascinating behind-the-scenes insights have made him a favorite of Midwest Fandom.
Our Featured Artist
Cline Siegenthaler is an SF & Fantasy Illustrator & sculptor from Northfield, Ohio. His credits include a comic book one-shot "The Adventures of Biff Thundersaur" and illustrations for card games "Galactic Empires" and "Legends of the Five Rings". His work will be featured in the Art Gallery, program book cover and T-shirt.

Benefit Auction
Encourage future fans and share the future with today's young readers. We will once again be hosting an auction to benefit literacy in the Miami Valley Region. Miami Valley Fandom for Literacy® promotes literacy programs, donates books to local libraries, youth groups, schools, and encourages the studios of space and science. Items will be auctioned off to help support MVFL programs. We have some wonderful items for this year's auction but more are needed. Interested? The Can't Film Award Contest Returns
Got the film bug? Here's your chance. Get your friends, club or group into the act. Produce your own SF video based on your favorite book, story,or movie. Prizes will be awarded by our expert panel of judges. Enttries will be shown at the convention. Creativity and content count; quality is optional. Rules: Max of 5 minutes, VHS format and PG-13 rated. Send your entries, copies not originals, to us by March 1, 1998. You must attend the convention to win and retrieve your entry. MILLENNICON is NOT responsible for lost or destroyed tapes
Book Drive Raffle
Donate a book, in good condition, (1 hardback or 3 paperback) on science fiction, fantasy, space, science, math, reading or writing and receive a raffle ticket. Chilren's science fiction books are especially needed. The prize is The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Science Fiction by John Clute. Donate a book to support literacy and encourage future fandom!
Volunteers
Every convention needs volunteers and we offer incentives. There's a $5 rebate for every four hours of work, up to the registration fee you paid. MAGIC® Tournament & Gaming Activities
There will be a Magic® Tournament, Type 2 Constructed Deck, held at MILLENNICON® Saturday March 21, 1998 at 1 PM. Sign-up begins at 12:30 PM. The entrance fee is $5. Acme Games of Cincinnati, Ohio will be running the tournament. Convention membership is required. Participation is limited, so sign up early. First and Second Prizes will be awarded. There will be SF collectible card game demonstrations provided by Acme Games on Saturday and Sunday. Legend of the Five Rings and Star Wars demonstrationss on Saturday and demonstrations of the newest SF miniature games, Babylon 5, Battle Tech and Silent Death, on Sunday. We'll have Magic Lessons for Adults and Kids, compliments of Wizards of the Coast®. Regional Gaming professionals will bring you up to date on the latest in SF gaming on and tell you what's coming in the future. There will be open gaming throughout the convention. Program Book Advertising
Here's the perfect way to publicize your group, convention or business. Full page ads are $70, $50 for half-page ads, $25 for quarter page ads, special locations are $100. Advertising copy must be camera ready. The page size is 8-1/2" x 11". The deadline for ads is February 15, 1998. More detailed information is available upon request. Art Show and Auction
The art show will offer a wide variety of mediums. There is a 25 cent hanging fee per piece and sales commission of 10% for artist consignment sales. Both mail-in and carry-in art are accepted. Masquerade Dance
A new twist to our Masquerade competition! There will be a Masquerade Dance Saturday evening. Music will be provided by a D.J. MARS ROCKS! will be an evening to remember so dust off your finest and get ready to party gentlebeings! The Mask award will be awarded to the Best of Show winner. Each year, the custom mask is designed especially for the convention by a talented regional artist. Additional awards will be given in several categories. Our traveling judges will be awarding Hall Costume Prizes throughout the convention. Contact the masquerade director, Tom Kelly, care of MILLENNICON®, for entry forms and rules.
MILLENNICON® has a NO PET policy. Animals are limited to licensed helper animals under constant leash and contol at all times while in convention function space. Thank you for your cooperation.
